Stonybrook Day Camp & Stuff the Bus!

What a way to kick of the Stuff the Bus for C.H.O.W. (community hunger outreach warehouse). Organizers of Livingston's Stuff the Bus were floored with our camp's results! Stonybrook's mini Stuff the Bus exceeded expectations and filled 1/3 of the town's larger bus.

Kids came to camp via their vans with bags filled with food and the excitement about doing something for others was contagious. Everything was amazed as the pile of donations grew. We heard from some camper families that this was a great learning experience as participating prompted questions about food pantries and how some people don't have food to eat. Lots of good came out of these conversations as kids learned more about the lives of others and how lucky we are to have food on our table.

We had a group of campers meet the official Stuff the Bus and unload our camp donation. It was a thrilling moment as Livingston's Deputy Mayor, Rudy Fernandez, Sister Barbara and organizers accepted our donation. Way to go Stonybrook. You truly made us proud!!!!!!

Don't forget to
