Kicking off the Summer---First Day of Camp!

Stonybrook 2012 began with a bang…. Luckily we do not mean thunder!  The rain couldn’t stop us from having a fantastic first day of camp.  Our campers were happy and our counselors were motivated to keep the smiles going despite some rain clouds.  And the great news is that only one period was actually rained out.  The rest of the periods were business as usual which means your campers zipped, took swings on the baseball field, soared on the jumping pillow, and hit the tennis courts (depending on their schedule of course).  


Today was mainly focused on getting to know everyone and making everyone feel part of the group.  We learned names and what each camper likes to do.  Our goal was connecting with your child and getting the group to feel excited about the Summer (and this was not hard to do) All campers were truly welcomed into our Stonybrook family.   

Please keep in mind that we expect the bus schedule to improve as we iron out any possible issues. Thank you for understanding and for embracing this crazy weather on our first day.  We ordered up sun but we ran with what we got!
