TEEN XTREME GOES TO MARYLAND!!!
As the Teen Xtreme bus pulled back into Stonybrook, we recalled all the good times on our Maryland trip. We began our trip rubbing “Testudo’s nose” (their mascot) for good luck, at the University of Maryland. It must have worked because we had a good week and a ton of fun. At night, we heard ghostly tales while touring Fells Point.
On our second day, we woke up to a beautiful, sunny day outside. While at the Naval Academy, the campers watched the “plebes” (first years) doing basic training exercises. We also saw the Heisman trophy awards, the dormitories and paid respects at the tomb of John Paul Jones. Later n the day, we had a great tour of Camden Yards and even got to sit in the dugout, private boxes and the press box. The trip came to a wonderful end by watching street performers and viewed the sights of the Inner Harbor.
We are all looking forward to Washington D.C. and Burlington Vermont in the next few weeks.
