Smug Mug 101--Take Advantage of Photos that are Practically FREE!

We love sharing pictures of our campers with you because it helps bring camp to life and you get to see what your campers are up to.  You also get some great pics of your kids and who doesn’t love that! And while not quite free, they are the next best thing- Just A PENNY! We would make them free if we could, but Smug Mug has rules.  You can still take advantage of the print services while you are at it, and they are a great deal as well.

We thought you might have questions about Smug Mug.  Is it photo sharing?  Is it a photo lab? How do I order? We thought we would try to give you as much information as possible so you can start enjoying Smug Mug. 

Every day of camp we will be posting all of the highlights (and there are many) of the day.  You can find the link to it here:  http://stonybrookdaycamp.smugmug.com/.  You can also find links to the photos from our Main Website, as well as our Facebook Fan Page. 

Now onto our info:

SMUG MUG 101

Once you are on the main Smug Mug page, you can see the most recent day first and on down. 
See here:

Simply click on the link that will take you into that particular gallery.  Have fun scrolling through! You can scroll pix by pix or you can skip pages if you scan through the thumbnails!

You can change or customize any way you would like to view.

Once you find the photo that you love, you have the option to buy:  Click buy this photo. 

There are 3 tabs at the top of the page: one for prints, one for merchandise, and one for downloads.

Click on Prints.  Simply scroll through and choose which prints work best for you!

Or you can click on the Merchandise Tab and order Fun Stuff!

QUICK TIP:

You can also do a buy in this gallery. That brings up a small thumbnail of every photo in gallery, you can click on them quickly to order, rather than scrolling through every picture. 

DOWNLOAD:  Click on the download tab to get your photo for 1 Penny. It really doesn't get better than that. 

QUICK TIP:

For printing photos or emailing:  Order Original. 

For sharing on FB or other social sites:  Order High or Low Res

QUICK TIP:

We know most of you know the "RIGHT click and drag trick". We are totally fine with this but just be aware that they are LOW-res files that you are getting. You cannot expect to print them and for them to turn out sharp.  Just get the penny original version for BEST quality in printing. (Or just order directly from Smug Mug and save yourself the trouble.)


And if you DO right click, please click on the largest file possible. 

SOCIAL SHARING:
You can also share directly from Smug Mug. There are 2 ways to do that. Click on the FB icon below the photo and share or open up your photo nice and large and copy the URL and paste that URL link to your social site!
