TeenXtreme, Stonybrook’s Hybrid program for campers grades 7-9, is going places!!!! The schedule is finalized, tickets are purchased and hotels are booked.
The itinerary is as follows:
WEEK 1 --- Local day trips June 30th and Aug 1st
WEEK 2 --- Club Getaway July 6th - 8th
WEEK 3 --- Liberty Science Center and NYC July 12th – July 13th
WEEK 4 --- White Water Rafting (Indian Head) July 21th – July 22nd
WEEK 5 --- Baltimore July 27th – July 29th
WEEK 6 --- Public Service Aug. 3rd, 4th and 5th – No overnight travel
WEEK 7 --- Lake Champlain, Burlington VT Aug. 10th - 12th
WEEK 8 --- Washington D.C. Aug 17th - 19th
This program has a strong emphasis on leadership and allows teens an opportunity to develop more independence while still under excellent supervision. Trips are far enough away, yet not too far…. Trips are overnight, yet not too long…. really the perfect combo for both kids and parents as a next step in their camp experience. And as far as trip details…. Think amusement parks, baseball games, water parks, rock climbing, whitewater rafting, camping….good times. Now that we think about it, our campers may just want longer trips! Well… that itinerary is all set and we can’t wait to get the bus on the road.
