Cooking at Stonybrook!

What is on the menu today?  

This is the question campers ask when coming to the cooking tent.  Our ovens have been busy creating some delicious culinary creations.  And this year at cooking, we have focused more on healthier choices while still having fun in the kitchen!  We have had a blast making delicious items such as pizza, apple muffins, pretzels, banana bread, and tortilla chips.  

We also had lots of fun experimenting with a variety of fruits, including fruit kabobs, smoothies, applesauce, and banana snowmen for our littlest campers.  Anything with cinnamon has made our kitchen smell wonderful.  Our campers especially enjoyed making cinnamon toast at electives.  On fruit and vegetable day, we made celery ants on a log and our own lemon-lime aide.
