While we are busy getting camp ready for the 2010 summer season, we are looking forward to seeing many camp families and their friends (the more the merrier) at this year’s Stonybrook Spring Fling. This free event is scheduled for Saturday May 1st from 11-2 (with a raindate on May 8th) and it promises to be a day of complete and utter FUN. In fact, we are certain it will be so much fun that you will be wishing it was already day one of camp. Let’s not rush us now… we take pride in our prep work and have lots to do before we officially take over your summer experience. May 1st will simply be the first official taste of camp, and we promise it will get you counting down the days till June 28th.
So what can we expect at Spring Fling? Your entire family can participate in typical Stonybrook activities including sports, arts n’ crafts, challenge course, jumping pillow, boating and so much more. Liberty Science Center will be joining us with an exhibit, and the folks from REI will be running some outdoor activities with their gear. We will have a DJ, and we will be offering a pizza lunch and snacks.
We hope you plan on joining us. This is a fabulous way to get new campers comfortable and excited for their first Stonybrook summer. Let them come experience what camp is all about. And for returning campers and their families and friends, this is just a fun time for all!
